ABOUT:
Native Vibe
can best be described as a high energy, eclectic instrumental music group
that blends Latin, African, Caribbean, Funk, Rock and Jazz styles.
We have a brand new cd out with Native Vibe titled "Across
the Globe".
This last summer during our radio campaign with Roger Lifesett and Peer
Pressure Promotions we got on the Smooth Jazz R&R charts for 3 months.
Even more important we made it on the Grammy Ballot (pre-nominations) for
"Best Contemporary Jazz Album". This cd is spiced with jazz, African and
Latin flavors and has a great lineup. Russel Ferrante, Mic Gillette, Nee

Band of 8 to 10 to 15 pieces (Saxes, trumpets, trombones, piano, bass,
drums) male and female vocalists playing swing era, jazz, funk, Latin
We perform the music of the big bands (Count Basie, Goodman, Miller,
Ellington), standards (Sinatra, Steisand, Holiday, Ella), latin (Puente,
Escovedo, Sandoval, Santana) funk (Tower of Power, James Brown, Tina
Turner)
Ernie Bucio's Little Big Band has been performing for area audiences for
30 years and is one of the most popular groups in the valley. They have
backed up the Temptations, Little Anthony and the Imperials, Rich Little,
Bob Newhart, Maynard Ferguson, Pete Escovedo, Arturo Sandoval, Clark
Terry, James Moody, Jon Faddis, Myron Floren, Dick Contino, Cheech Marin,
Plas Johnson and Mic Gillette. The Little Big Band has performed at the
most prestigious events in the Modesto Area, in addition to San Franciso,
San Jose, Sacramento, Tahoe, Yosemite (Ahwahnee Hotel) and New Orleans. |
